With Chapter 13, I've crossed 100,000 words (although a lot of that is split into as many as three different paths, so I have
no idea what the word count is for a "regular" reading). Yay! I'm taking a break for this coming week to try and catch up a bit on the art,
and also do some basic housekeeping.
In the first place, I'm running into a weird formatting issue with the text - it's not wrapping properly, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to fix it. Frustratingly, it's not even being consistent, and we are rapidly approaching the point where even continuing to research the issue is more of a time-waster than just typing out the problem sections all over again. I don't know if I need to do some de-formatting in the document I'm working in, or what, but that's been in the way and I need to get it sorted once and for all. While I'm sorting that out, this link will be available where you can just read the damn document where it's all at. (Issue resolved! Sort of! Hooray!)
I'm also noticing that I spend a lot of time explaining things that I'd rather not - at least, not by taking time away from the action. So I'm going to make an attempt at writing up an appendix of sorts, styled as excerpts from On Humanity, the in-Universe quasi-encyclopedia that Alice gives to Phyr, which serves as their manual for the "game"/world.
Only thing is, I don't know if I'm going to like it at all, so we'll see. Anyway, I have a book review for Dreadnought that I want to write up, and probably a couple other things (maybe?), so it won't just be art updates if the appendix thing goes sideways. Wish me luck!
